The
Eco Hostel in Sammakkoniemi Camping on Linnansaari island is located
in the middle of the most beautiful areas of Lake Saimaa. The hostel is
open only in summer time and it has five cozy log huts. Each hut has two
bunk beds, a table and benches. The camp ground has a common cooking
shelter, camp fire places, a well with drinking water, outdoor toilets
and a wood heated sauna. From the cafeteria you can rent canoes, row
boats or buy food for your hiking trip.
The huts are surrounded by meadow flowers, bird song and tranquility.
The nature trails start right behind the huts. The trails go through
varying landscape, including herb-rich forests and grove-like moist
forests
